Qai Drones
Advanced aerial technology, civil and security.
Qai Drones is the group’s advanced-technology venture: unmanned aerial systems spanning civilian and security applications, built by a founding team of nine.
It is being built in three layers, beginning with the drone-parts supply chain inside the UAE, expanding into the manufacture of civil aircraft, and reaching toward security and defense systems.
It builds two flagship aircraft: the multi-mission Eqab 1 for civilian and emergency work, and Shaheen 1, an autonomous interceptor that brings AI to the air.
- 01Supply chain
UAE drone-parts supply
Establishing a reliable supply chain for drone components inside the Emirates: the foundation everything else is built on.
- 02Manufacturing
Civil aircraft
Designing and manufacturing civilian unmanned aircraft, led by the multi-mission Eqab 1.
- 03Defense
Security & defense systems
Developing security and defensive aerial systems, including the Shaheen 1 interceptor.
Shaheen 1
شاهين 1An advanced quadcopter interceptor designed to detect, track, and engage targets autonomously. Shaheen 1 pairs a forward thermal camera with an onboard AI compute module and an autonomous targeting system, bringing real-time intelligence to the aircraft itself.
- Class
- Autonomous interceptor quadcopter
- Sensing
- Forward-mounted thermal camera
- Compute
- Onboard AI module (NVIDIA Jetson)
- Autonomy
- Self-directed targeting system
Eqab 1
عقاب 1A multi-purpose civilian quadcopter built to adapt. Eqab 1 pairs a high-resolution camera with a thermal imager on a dual sensor head, feeding a flexible onboard AI computer that can be reprogrammed for the mission: agriculture and farm monitoring, surveillance of civilian facilities, search and rescue, and emergency medical delivery between hospitals.
- Class
- Multi-mission quadcopter
- Sensing
- High-resolution + thermal cameras
- Compute
- Flexible onboard AI module
- Autonomy
- Mission-programmable flight
